Cates Park to Panorama Park Loop

This trail begins at either Panorama Park or Cates Park. A round trip is 8 km with most of the hike on roads. The Cates Park trails are flat with gentle slopes, but not paved. Starting at Cates Park, follow the Malcolm Lowry Trail along the waterfront to Little Cates Park. From the park, continue north on Beachview Drive. When you reach Mount Seymour Parkway, go left to Kinloch Lane. On Strathcona Drive, go 100 metres right and follow Norah’s Walk. Walk past Seycove Secondary and follow the trail to Myrtle Park. Keep going west along Banbury Road. If you want to avoid the long staircase linking the two parts of Banbury Road, turn right on Raeburn Street and left on Rockcliff Road. Either route will take you to Deep Cove and Panorama Park. There are several cafes in Deep Cove and public washrooms in the park. For your return trip, you can retrace your steps or follow Gallant Avenue out of the Cove. The road changes names to Deep Cove Road and then to Dollarton Highway which leads you back to Cates Park. Other than the trails through Cates Park, the rest of the route is wheelchair accessible.
